By organizing this nationwide cycling event the people of Takasaki in Gunma prefecture and local volunteer staff welcome you with their OMOTENASHI (hospitality) and would like all riders to enjoy the fun and sport of the challenging course and beautiful landscape in the splendor of nature.

-In the event of the number of entries exceeding the maximum number of slots available, the slots will be allocated on a "first-come, first-served" basis.

-Course: starts from Lake Haruna Tamokuteki Ground (multipurpose athletic ground) --> Haruna Agatsumaso --> Half Turn at Lake Haruna Onsen "YUSUGE" --> Haruna Agatsumaso --> finishes at Lake Haruna Tamokuteki Ground (multipurpose athletic ground)
-Distance: 6.8km
-Eligibility: Ability to complete Lake Haruna Course in 60 minutes for Male Riders and 80 minutes for Female Riders

<Eligibility>
1)Lake Haruna Course : Healthy male/female riders age 14 or over on the race day
2)Haruna Jinja Course : Healthy male/female riders age 14 or over on the race day
3)Beginners Course : Healthy male/female riders age 10 or over on the race day
(Elementary school students must be accompanied by an adult guardian)
*Important notice: Participants aged 19 or under must submit to the event organizers a written approval from an adult guardian with permission to participate in the event.

<Award>
<COPPA DI HARUNA>
The general classification winner of the combined times of the Time Trial Race and Hill Climb Race will be awarded the "COPPA DI HARUNA".
Winners(Male/Female) will be awarded the "COPPA DI HARUNA" Champion Jerseys.

<Hill Climb Race : Lake Haruna Course>
The first 8 riders in each category will receive awards. Each winner will be awarded the special winner's jersey.

<Hill Climb Race : Haruna Jinja Course>
The first 8 riders in each category will receive awards.
The first 3 Junior-high School Student riders(Male/Female) will receive awards.

<Hill Climb Race : Beginners Course>
The first 8 riders in each category will receive awards.
The first 3 Elementary School Student riders(Male/Female) will receive awards.

<Time Trial Race>
The first 8 Male and the first 8 Female riders will receive awards and the outright winner will be awarded the special winner's jersey.

Participants in the races listed will have the chance to win an Overseas Trip in a Lottery:

 -The 20th Tour de Kusatsu
 -The 5th Maebashi Akagiyama Hill Climb
The drawing will take place at the race site immediately after the end of the 5th Maebashi Akagiyama Hill Climb.

<Bike/Equipment Regulation>
-All bikes must be equipped with Front and Rear brakes and have the ability to freewheel.
-MTB(Mountain Bikes), Cross Bikes, Mini-bicycle(Mini-velos) are permitted.
-City bikes are only allowed in Beginners Course category
-Recumbent bicycles, Tandem bikes, Pedelec Bikes(Electric Pedal Bikes) are NOT allowed in this event.

<Special Notice>
-In the Hill Climb race, every rider will be allocated to a group wave based on the predicted finish time declared by each participant. Each group wave of 300 riders will start at 5 minute intervals, following the first group wave of Expert riders.
-In the Time Trial Race riders will start at intervals of 15 seconds.
-NO event Check-in will be permitted on the race day.
-Check-in by a substitute is permitted. However, the race participation by a substitute is NOT permitted.
-The use of a Shell Helmet and Gloves is mandatory for all participants.
-The organizer maintains the full right to withdraw undesirable riders from the event.
- No bike check service will be provided at the Check-in or on the event site. Please make sure that your bike is fully maintained prior to the event day.
-The event may be cancelled or partially scaled-down due to bad weather which would put rider's safety at risk.

<Insurance>
All participants take out an insurance policy upon signing the application.
(*the insurance fee is included in the application fee).
-Coverage detail:
Death/ Permanent Disability = 2,000,000 yen
Hospitalization = 3,000 yen daily (Valid for 180 days from the race day)
Hospital visit = 2,000 yen daily (Valid for 180 days from the race day)
*The insurance will NOT cover any property damage and/or theft.
